  • Anyone can attend online sessions but registration is required to receive certificate of presentation or participation.
  • Registration fee is WAIVED OFF for online participants presenting or participating from outside Pakistan.
  • Corresponding author/presenter may submit more than one abstract with a single registration fee (separate registration for each abstract).
  • Use Microsoft PowerPoint to prepare the presentation and preferably use template shared herewith these guidelines. Medium of communication during oral presentation will be English.
  • There will be maximum 10 minutes for each presentation (in-person or online) along with an additional 2-3 minutes for Q/A session.
  • At the completion of the allotted 13 minutes, the moderator will move to the next speaker. So, do prepare your talk which finishes well in time.
  • All oral presenters are required to email their presentations (in PPTX format) on or before November 06, 2023, to Session Moderator (listed below) to be included in the final technical program. Presentations sent in PDF file format will not be accepted. Virtual/Online Presenters are required to email audio-recorded (with or without video) presentations.
  • All sessions will be physical as well as online (detail of online platform will be shared later) and links will be shared along with the final technical program.
  • All presenters must present their presentation at scheduled time. If for some reason, anyone is unable to attend and want to designate another author on abstract to be the presenter, it is presenter’s responsibility to notify ‘Session Moderator’ of that technical session for this change prior to the first day of the forum.

Guidelines for Poster Preparation

All the poster presenters should make the poster in a visual presentation of the submitted abstract and should include, but not limited to, “Title, Authors, Introduction (which incorporates the statement of the problem), Methodology, Data Gathered and Results, Conclusion and Discussion, and References”.

A poster should be a self-explanatory document.

Poster presentation must be prepared on 36-inch (wide) x 48-inch (height) paper or flex poster in portrait orientation.  All fonts in the presentation should be Windows 11 standards. Calibri is recommended. Do not include any confidential or restricted information. If you use any copyrighted information, graphics, or intellectual property, you should take permission from the owner, and they must be properly attributed.

Please note that there will be no poster printing facility on site.

Language of the poster presentation must be English only.

Here are few tips and hints for poster presentation.

  • Because of limited space, posters should focus on a single message while using figures such as graphics and photos to illustrate the information.
  • Text should be clear and concise.
  • A light background with dark letters is easier to read on a poster than a dark background with light letters.
  • Avoid cluttering.
  • Leave some space between text, tables, diagrams, and figures and guide the flow of information.
  • Use organizational and textual cues to guide or transition into the next figure, concept, or section of the poster.

Guidelines for e-Poster Submission

To display your posters in the virtual venue, please also email us PDF file of your poster at ‘spaf2023@uaf.edu.pk’ by October 31, 2023 (11:59 PM). Please note that e-poster submission (PDF format ONLY) is mandatory for evaluation of both online as well in-person presentations. Presenters are also encouraged to send 2-min recorded audio of their poster presentation.

Please submit your poster at the time of registration. All posters will be set up on November 09, 2023 by 10:00 AM and must be removed on November 10, 2023, no later than 03:00 PM. Posters not removed by this time will be discarded.

We recommend that you have copies of a handout with your details and, if possible, an expanded version of your presentation to give to interested delegates. This may also include recent publications and reports, or other material that are related to the topic of the poster. This material should be placed in a clearly labelled holder, such as folder, and pinned under the poster, and be confined to the allotted space.

Guidelines for Poster Presentation

Poster presentations will either be in face-to-face or in virtual mode.

Here are few tips and hints for poster presentation.

  • Make your presentation symmetrical to balance the focus and avoid distraction.
  • As the orator of the research presentation, you should be able to properly explain all aspects of the research. Due to limited time allotted per poster any verbal communication should be clear and concise.
  • Have peers think of questions and practice answering them.
  • Practice a presentation of the poster as if it were going to be presented as an oral presentation.
  • Know your study and be enthusiastic.

Poster Evaluation

All the participants are informed to prepare their posters with full dedication as there will be poster evaluation. Evaluation of posters in each subject area will be according to the following schedule.
